Context and challenges
Late 2017, Solevo Group, a carve-out of Louis Dreyfus Company in Africa, needed a new Leadership team in order to establish the new company and to achieve its aggressive growth targets, including possible future acquisitions. Joining as CEO a few months later, I acknowledged that the new strategy we developed, involving almost everyone in the company, requested a good mix of daring new minds instilled by a solid team of long-standing leaders familiar with the field.
Knowing about the High Performing Team methodology from a previous experience with him, I invited Thierry to help us function rapidly as the Comex team of Solevo Group and to identify those gaps to rapidly close within our team in order to make it really high performing.
Within a few weeks, we were able to understand our individual values and mindsets and to define the collective ones for the team, we established all necessary collective processes to be followed, setting all principles in motion not only for the Comex team itself but also for the whole leadership team active in Africa. This became the management backbone for the whole Solevo Group, an achievement in itself!
